Interpreting Revelation

Interpreting-Revelation

Revelation is a very polarizing book. Some people absolutely love it and use their understanding of Revelation as a lens through which to view the rest of Scripture while others feel burned out by it and do their best to avoid and ignore it altogether. If you are one of those who feel like they could scream the next time they hear another end-times prediction, this teaching is for you! We are going to go over the four plus (yes!) different ways that people who take the book of Revelation seriously interpret and understand the book of Revelation. Included will be an analysis of each method, it’s strengths and problems, along with a final method that will be the basis for future studies into this strange Apocalyptic book on Faith of Messiah.

The revelation of Yeshua Messiah, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who bore witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Yeshua Messiah, even to all that he saw.  Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.

I can’t believe you actually have the “88 reasons…..” book! Radical! Do you want a Hal Lindsay book? I have several. LOL

Lol, a friend gave it to me as a gift. I haven’t actually read it. I was thinking about doing a teaching titled “88 reasons the rapture didn’t occur in 1988 and won’t happen on any other date”

Really intrigued Brother to hear more insight! I like how you have summarized your current viewpoint and excited to see how you unpack it for us. I just learned in one of my classes about unpacking the literary aspect to a book of the Bible for that helps unlock it for us, and it reminded me of what I’ve learned from you and Rico over the years. Keep at it, for you’re discipling many 🙂

As an FYI, the author of Unveiling Empire is on staff at Peace and Justice Center, Seattle. Does this organization lie about Israel/Palestine conflicts? Is Howard-Brook a social justice activist? Do his strong personal bias’ influence and color the way he interprets Scripture? Some questions to think about.
