The Messianic Gospel Cycle is a series studying the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Acts from a Messiah-centered perspective. The cycle is divided up into 52 portions and is designed to be read over the course of a year. You can download the reading plan here.
Then Yeshua spoke to the crowds and to His disciples, saying, āThe scribes and Pharisees sit on the seat of Moses. So whatever they tell you, do and observe. But donāt do what they do; for what they say, they do not do. They tie up heavy loads, hard to carry, and lay them on menās shoulders; but they themselves arenāt willing to lift a finger to move them. All their works they do to be noticed by men.

Hello Mr. Ryan. I have listened and relistened to your talk on hypocrites and you have solidified many thoughts that I have had. I do have a question however, it concerns the scripture that states ā and the dead in Christ shall rise firstā from Thessalonians 4. Is this a picture of Yeshua death and how all the tombs opened and people arose? Or am I looking at a new event. By just writing this I think I may have answered my own question. Iām thinking that this is a new event, because not many people up to His death were believers in messiah, but the wording states Christ not Yeshua. Am I right in thinking that an āanointed oneā had been an expectation in Israel for decades if not thousands of years, like when David ruled?
I ask this, and I know perhaps foolish in asking, what does/What will happen to those who have gone before us. Revelation does state that all, the quick and the dead shall be made accountable/judged. Do the dead in the flesh reside where they have fallen and does God maintain their souls to come back in the resurrection? Sorry this is long and not well organized. Could you recommend another one of your teachings or perhaps someone elseās concerning the dead and resurrection. Thank you much for teachings and insight.
I have appreciated your different perspective concerning the next coming of Yeshua and whether or not that is what is being referred to in Matthew 24 (specifically vs. 30). Can you give me your understanding of Acts 1:11 when the angels state to the disciples that Yeshua will return in the same manner that they saw Him go into heaven?
Have you listened to the teaching on Acts 1-2 yet? I’m pretty sure I cover it in there.
