Now when Yeshua saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain. And after He sat down, His disciples came to Him. And He opened His mouth and began to teach them, saying, āBlessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. āBlessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. āBlessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

“plain reading” if it were that simple, wouldn’t we all be able to be in agreement? Great teaching and sharing, again! shalom ā„
Mr. White I just started this gospel series listening and have read some of your resources that you suggest so I feel fairly well equipped to delve into your material which I so enjoy. Your opening scripture on Matthew 5 reminds me of a scripture that I have on my fridge from Isaiah 60 verse 1. Matthew 5 is a command to Israel to let our light shine through good works and Isiah 60 and again it seems to me that this a command to Israel to let our light shine. Correct? Do you think these two scriptures are related like a repetition of what our behavior should be. I heard a teaching that in the Hebrew arise could mean to take your designated role, not simply to stand up but to take on your purpose and function that you were created for. I would enjoy hearing any comments you may have. I am so glad to be listening to this material and that it is available thank you so much!
