Deuteronomy 3:23 - 7:11

Vaetchanan-Torah-Portion

Isaiah 40:1-26

Welcome to the Torah Portion VaEtchanan. In this post, we will cover the weekly Torah portion and weekly Haftarah portion from a cultural perspective. There is also an Echoes Through Scripture teaching which takes a theme from the Torah portion and connects it throughout the rest of the Hebrew Bible and into the Apostolic Scriptures.

And I pleaded with YHWH at that time, saying, ‘O Lord YHWH, you have only begun to show your servant your greatness and your mighty hand. For what god is there in heaven or on earth who can do such works and mighty acts as yours? Please let me go over and see the good land beyond the Jordan, that good hill country and Lebanon.’ But YHWH was angry with me because of you and would not listen to me. And YHWH said to me, ‘Enough from you; do not speak to me of this matter again. Go up to the top of Pisgah and lift up your eyes westward and northward and southward and eastward, and look at it with your eyes, for you shall not go over this Jordan.
