Joshua 1:1-18

Welcome to the Torah Portion V’zot Habrachaah. In this post, we will cover the weekly Torah portion and weekly Haftarah portion from a cultural perspective. There is also an Echoes Through Scripture teaching which takes a theme from the Torah portion and connects it throughout the rest of the Hebrew Bible and into the Apostolic Scriptures.

This is the blessing with which Moses the man of God blessed the people of Israel before his death. He said, “YHWH came from Sinai and dawned from Seir upon us; he shone forth from Mount Paran; he came from the ten thousands of holy ones, with flaming fire at his right hand. Yes, he loved his people, all his holy ones were in his hand; so they followed in your steps, receiving direction from you, when Moses commanded us a law, as a possession for the assembly of Jacob.

Always enjoy the Echoes thru Scripture segments. They are a great follow up to the Torah portions. Keep up the good work. It is a blessing.

Love this Torah portion teaching!!!! Ryan, it makes sense that the “laying a hand” on the animals head is to identify that animal is yours….. I can’t imagine the amount of people that went to the temple daily…. with their offerings! Wouldn’t this “laying of hands” also help the priest and others there to know …”this is my offering”.
We are blessed that you have such a passion to study and share the truth about the Scriptures!!! Blessings to you and your family!!! Shabbat Shalom!!
