613 Ways to Love God – Living Out Love in Deut 22:8

613-Ways-to-Love-God

In this podcast, I emphasized the importance of seeking wisdom from Biblical law rather than attempting to apply everything literally. I discuss how the law of putting a parapet around one's roof in Deuteronomy 22:8 serves as a foundation for many modern laws concerning property liability, building codes, and building inspectors. I also discuss how keeping this law falls under loving one's neighbor and being your brother's keeper and how we bear liability for our actions and choices.

“When you build a new house, you shall make a parapet for your roof, that you may not bring the guilt of blood upon your house, if anyone should fall from it.”
