One of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples.” And he said to them, “When you pray, say: “Father, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation.”

    In Luke 11-12 you listed 3 of 4 characteristics of the concept of “Father.” i.e. Creator, Protector, Provider, and ??? What was number 4???

      Hi Michael,
      Number 4 was “Father” as Model – the idea that a son’s relationship with his father was that of an apprentice to a master. We are called to be image-bearers of God.
