Word Study – מוֹעֵד – mo’ed

moed

Here is a quick study on the Hebrew word mo'ed to help you get a better understanding of the feasts.

The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, These are the appointed feasts of the Lord that you shall proclaim as holy convocations; they are my appointed feasts.

I also think the word holiday comes from the words holy day. 🙂

I hope to after Sukkot. I’ve been recording two Torah portions a week for the past 6 months and it’s been a bit overwhelming. I’ll be done with that after Sukkot and will have more time to focus on topical studies, courses, word studies, and more.

You mentioned “part 2” at the end of the video, but the second video on the page is part 1 again. Was part 2 posted somewhere else or was the second video on this page supposed to be part 2?
